TOC Software 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 Learning Software Skills Presenting 1 - Quality Issues       Presentation software can be a powerful tool to supplement the research and reporting process, but we must take care to avoid what some people call "PowerPointlessness" - presentations that are mostly flash lacking in substance and thought. Army Corps of Engineers One way to require a higher level of quality and thought is to expect two products - a written report on a word processor plus a presentation. Another strategy is to share rubrics that clarify expectations regarding originality, logic, depth and design. Review these rubrics designed for a national contest and consider how you might use something like them with your students.   How can we engage our students in developing their own rubrics so they will feel some ownership of the quality issue?   Please do not proceed to the next module until asked to do so.
