Module One - Recalling the Traits of a PBL Unit

Last time you looked at PBL with Jamie McKenzie, time was limited but you had a chance to look at some sample units built by other middle schools. Because that was months back at the beginning of the school year, you probably need to refresh your memory some about the traits of a PBL unit before attempting to build one. Instead of looking at dozens of lessons, we'll all focus on one example and use it to derive a list of traits that shall serve us well throughout the day. You and your partner will be trying to come up with seven more traits to complete the cluster diagram below.

  • Example - AQCP - The Air Quality Curriculum Project (AQCP) is an educational program implemented by the Environmental Educational Outreach Program (EEOP) at Northern Arizona University (NAU).
