Creating Digital Portfolios Worthy
of the Time and Effort

Module Two - The Unworthy

If we are not careful, we can be seduced by the glitz and glimmer of new technologies into creating digital portfolios that actually demonstrate very little about student learning.

Take a look at this well intentioned project to engage young students and critique it.

1. What are its major failings, do you think? Work with a partner to identify 5-6 weaknesses that you would want to avoid when creating digital portfolios for your school or district?

2. In what ways would this project fail to satisfy the expectations listed by the State of New Hampshire we just examined in Module One?

Please do not move to the next module until asked to do so by the workshop leader.
